What is Agile Gap?

Agile Gap is a podcast dedicated to Agile methodologies and related topics, including Scrum, Kanban, eXtreme Programming (XP), SAFe, Liberating Structures, leadership, and HR management in complex environments. It was founded by Pedram Keshavarzi in 2021.

Originally launched for Persian-speaking audiences, the podcast has since expanded to include English-language content under the brand Boost Agility. As a result, the Agile Gap website now hosts two podcasts: Agile Gap (in Persian) and Boost Agility (in English).

What does Agile Gap mean?

The name Agile Gap has two parts:

  1. Agile refers to the Agile movement that began in 2001 with the publication of the Agile Manifesto, a foundational document aimed at improving software development through adaptive and collaborative project management.

  2. Gap carries meaning from two linguistic perspectives:

    • In Persian, gap (گپ) means conversation or discussion, emphasizing dialogue and knowledge-sharing.

    • In English, gap signifies a break or space, reflecting the challenges and opportunities in bridging theory and practice within Agile environments.

Together, Agile Gap represents a space for reflection and dialogue about the gaps in applying Agile mindsets and practices—and an opportunity to bridge them.
